If you are looking for a “heartburn safe” diet, it may not be as difficult as you think to find one. Still, you can add flavor to food without tart sauces or hot peppers. There are many herbs that can add distinctive taste to foods that will probably rate “safe” on the heartburn scale. Another way to take down your risk for heartburn is to go easy on meals that are overly rich. Combining several rich foods together may trigger an attack, whereas having a little bit may not. This speaks to portion size as well as healthy eating.
