15 Minute Workout
It is important to take a mental break from your day and head to the gym for an hour, but sometimes that just isn’t an option. This is understandable, but a lack of time in your schedule should not mean that you do not get to work out at all. Your plan for weight loss in Albany depends upon you being consistent with your workout routine.
Here are three quick exercises that you can do in just 15 minutes:
- Lunges: To do a lunge, stand up straight and take a step forward with your left leg, bending your left knee until it reaches a 90-degree angle. Hold this pose for five seconds before standing up straight and repeating with your right leg. Repeat this exercise 10 to 20 times, alternating legs as you move.
- Cat and Cow: Based off of a yoga pose, the cat and cow exercise involves you getting down on your hands and knees. Arch your back into a U shape to imitate the swayback of a cow, then round it upwards to imitate the look of a cat. This pose can help ease lower back pain.
- Plank: A bit like a push-up, this exercise requires you to lie down on the floor with your arms stretched out in front of you and your weight balanced on your elbows and forearms. Instead of using your arms to push yourself upwards, flex your abdomen and slowly rise up onto your toes, then hold this pose and straighten your body like a plank for 10 to 20 seconds before lowering yourself down and repeating.
